LAPAROSCOPY SERVICES OFFERED

Laparoscopic or “Minimally Invasive” surgery is a specialized technique for performing surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is also called as ‘minimally invasive surgery’ or’ key hole’ surgery. The technique uses 2 to 5 small holes of 3 to 10 mm diameter, in the abdomen to perform the operation on the body parts inside. No large cuts need to be made on the body as in open surgery.The special instrument used to perform minimally invasive surgeries is called the Laparoscope… an instrument that is inserted into the abdominal cavity or chest cavity through a small hole.

In hysteroscopy the inner cavity of the uterus is examined by a telescope and any abnormalities corrected.

1. Hysteroscopic Myomectomy : fibroids inside the cavity of the uterus are removed .
2. Hysteroscopic Polypectomy: Polyps are benign growths present inside the uterus which are removed at the Hysteroscopy.
3. Septal Resection: Uterine septum is the presence of an abnormal wall within the cavity of the uterus which is removed at the time of Hysteroscopy
4. Hysteroscopic Adhesiolysis: small bands of tissue present inside the cavity of the uterus are separated.
